HELLO FROM THE CHEMISTRY DEPARTMENT!!!

My name is Mr. Ruggiero. I welcome, you, the parent/guardian to the 2010 school year! I teach the 11th grade Chemistry class and I am looking forward to the school year. This year, like many others, promises to be a year of education and learning that will surely capture the attention and imagination of your child. I can safely assure this because in this day and age we teachers are reaching out to students in new ways; through technology, group activities, lab experiments, and projects, both individual and in groups. With several years of teaching under my belt, I know that all students excel in different ways of learning: visual aids, hands-on group activities, and research and I use all of these techniques to teach your child an introduction to chemistry and prepare them for the chemistry they will face in today's world.

I look forward to this new school year with great ambition and excitement becasue I make sure that all of my students are learning, in whatever unique way they may learn. If you have any questions, concerns, coments please feel free to call me at my office (561-930-0920 extension #419) or contact me via emal at nruggiero@yahoo.com. Once again...

Now, despite the fact that Bill Nye is no longer popular on TV, his shows still have some relavance to our chemistry class. He taught many lessons on multiple subjects of science that you may find helpful when studying. NOTE: Watching countless hours of Bill Nye on Youtube.com does NOT count as extra credit. :P
